It has 3 Bedrooms and 1 Bathroom (Queen Master Bedroom, Full in-front Guest Bedroom, and a Full & Kids Single Bunk in the 3rd Bedroom (up to 7 People) We are in town, even though it feels rural and we are on a dead-end quiet street. Everything in town is under 15 minutes drive. We are Hidden Away in a Rural Enclave in the Heart of Lynchburg just 10 minutes to Downtown, Liberty University, Lynchburg University, and Historic Virginian Culture. You will often see deer and other wildlife wandering through on misty mornings grazing on fresh grass and in the nearby woods. Lynchburg is located in the Central Virginia Region at the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and close to the Sparkling Waters of the Historic James River and Smith Mountain Lake. The blue-hued morning mist hugs the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains, the Appalachian Trail, and heritage sights for Patriarchs of Old. Civil War Living Museums, Scenic Wineries, Microbrewery Row, Spectacular Hiking, & cultural events abound in this area. Have a look at lynchburg virginia dot org Although everyone who has come has enjoyed the home, I want to point out that you should keep in mind that this is a 100-Year-Old, Authentic Early Rustic Log Cabin, and not your typical pristine home. Hopefully, you took that into account with the pictures I have online. What else that means is that this home was heated by a fireplace in the early years and still has a slight scent to it that has been baked into the woodwork and is part of its charm. Because of its age, we can no longer have a working fireplace per the code enforcement, but we do have a campfire pit and free firewood, which you can use outside. Additionally, it is on a fieldstone foundation which presents its own unique features so bring warm socks or slippers for your feet in the winter. We are surrounded by woods and so seasonally, we participate in the annual cycles of insects and "wildlife". Although we don't have regular issues, we are always on alert because the setting in the woods along with the age of the house has the potential for closer living to the earth's elements and their sojourners (occasional mice, stink bugs, ants, etc). You will see deer and other smaller mammals frequenting our private yard. To be sure, it is a wonderful experience, but some in the past have arrived and not expected the unique seasoning of the home. I just want to make sure I manage expectations and be sure you understand what you are getting. I believe you will love it as much as we have. Additionally, depending on the foliage cover, you can sometimes hear the COMMERCIAL CEMENT BLENDING DISPENSARY which operates during business hours down over the hill but also serves to insulate us from any neighbors resulting in greater privacy. PETS: We love pets, so If you have a pet and we haven't discussed it, please let me know the breed, size, and age.
