Welcome to my beautiful, peaceful, and large townhouse in the heart of Tempe. If you're looking for daily life to feel like a relaxing vacation where you can also be productive and pursue your ambitions, this may be your lucky day. I'm renting the primary bedroom upstairs, which is about 15x15, has very large closets, and a private en suite bathroom. There's a second bedroom and bathroom upstairs that will be entirely unused besides the rare guest visit, so you'll essentially have exclusive use of the upstairs. My bedroom and bathroom are downstairs. The rest of the home is shared, and I genuinely want it to feel like your home too. Note that there are no shared bathrooms in the house. THINGS YOU'll LOVE Resort-style backyard with pool, astroturf, vegetable gardens, covered patio, and Blackstone grill. It's a fabulous place to hang. Downstairs is a large, open concept space with new sectional couch that's super cozy, a new 98-inch TV, Spanish tile floor, and big kitchen with farmhouse style cabinets and modern appliances. The house sits on Shalimar Golf Course, which closed a year ago and now is essentially a natural area that feels like living in the country. Solar panels make electricity and A/C very affordable. All household maintenance, landscaping, furnishings, bills, and common area cleaning are handled by me. THINGS TO KNOW This is a minimalist, organized house. I keep only items that are frequently used, and I value lots of open space free of clutter. If you own a lot of things, are messy, or disorganized in general, this won't be the right place for you. It's a lot of fun living here, but in a mature way. Professionals, entrepreneurs, and students of all ages are welcome to apply. What's important is that you are valued aligned with the home, financially sound, and a genuinely pleasant presence to have around. ABOUT ME I'm a filmmaker who runs a small production company that makes documentaries for universities. I work from home, but only part-time, so I have a lot of free time. I'm very active. I love exercising, gardening, exploring nature, kayaking, biking, woodworking, or otherwise being outdoors. I also love relaxing at home and soaking up sun by the pool. I value simplicity, balance, and gratitude. I'm a deep thinker and fast mover by nature, which is why I now take life slowly and embrace joy and humor in most things.
