Well, this won't be one of the AI generated real estate descriptions making everything sound beautiful and perfect. It will just be an honest as I can be description of the home and some of our thoughts on things.
The house was built 2021 and the garage was built in 2022. It's a large corner lot at 0.37 acres (16,160 sq ft). An important consideration right off the bat is that we've never flooded or sustained any wind damage with the hurricanes or storms in that time. We are the original owners and have enjoyed the house and really like the area but we're moving back to our original state to be closer to family.
There are 3 bedrooms and two full baths as you'll see in the pictures. I apologize for the cluttered looking rooms (BR # 2 and 3) as we're in the process of sorting and boxing. We used one of the rooms as an office. All the bedrooms have walk in closets...not huge but adequate and nice to have. The master bath is large and has a large tile shower with seating area. There's a rain shower head in the ceiling but we never really use it. We were going to put a soaker tub at some point and the plumbing exists for hook-up underneath but we never got around to it.
Not much to say about kitchen, livingroom, or dining room. Everything looks nice but in full disclosure the cabinets are cheap and while we like the look, we would like to have changed them at some point. The large walk-in pantry alongside the refrigerator is great and very useful. There's a laundry room off the kitchen which also has an exterior door to the backyard and a pocket door that leads to the master bath.
The deck was put in less than a year ago and is 10 x 36. The backyard is fenced in and good for dogs.
The garage is 30 x 32, and fully insulated. Each garage door is 12 ft wide and there are direct drive openers on each ( no chain driven ceiling mount). They automatically unlock and lock when you open and shut the doors. There's 90 amp service to the garage with 220v. There's also a 50 amp outlet for car charging. The driveway covers the whole 32ft so there's plenty of parking room there for boat, RV, etc or a number of vehicles. 2 cars can fit in the primary house driveway.
Another nice feature of the house is the reasonable homeowners insurance. With a newer roof and being wood construction, our annual insurance premium is pretty reasonable at $1600 and has never risen in the 3 years we've been here.
The area is great and the neighborhood is quiet. There is no HOA. It's an easy and short bike ride to the intercoastal or local parks. We've ridden across the Dunlawton bridge and rode the beaches or visited the lighthouse. The boat ramp for the Halifax just a few miles away.
