Private apartment with a total of more than 500 square feet, fully furnished with fully equipped kitchen located a 5 to 8 minute walk from the world-renowned Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. Passive solar space with comfy queen sized bed and comfortable quality full size futon couch. Space is ideal for 1 or 2 people. The space Pleasant homey space with adobe/frame construction. Holds both warmth and coolness as seasonally appropriate. Just like home, we offer a full kitchen, cooking equipment, microwave, oven, full-sized fridge/freezer, toaster oven, French Press coffee-maker, Dark Roast beans and coffee grinder and most everything that you may need. Teas and some welcome snack foods are also available. Apartment has both a front and back door allowing for cross-breezes. Very comfortable for two people, and the futon gives greater flexibility. There is a Smart Lock with a simple entry code provided. Entire apartment, with a quiet outdoor seating area, great for coffee mornings. Large private, off-road parking area with plenty of room to turn a larger vehicle. The National Forrest and BLM land is only minutes walk from my home, providing many 1000's of square miles for trekking. Old mines from the late 1800's are a great one hour hike through the National Forrest, with fine views of the Colorado Rockies to the north. The Springs now have a 2+ acre pond, close to the Historic Round Barn. These waters together with the Ojo Caliente River, provide a wonderful habitat for beaver and many varieties of water fowl. There is a great restaurant at the Hot Springs, together with fresh produce from their garden. There are other wild hot springs on the Rio Grande river, some 45 minutes drive away. There is hiking and mountain biking trails behind the Mineral Springs. E-bikes are greatly expand the trail system! Both the Springs and the local Gas Station have EV Charging Stations Rent includes water, propane electric and trash. The electric is metered, so only very excessive use could result in a surcharge. There are 2 radiant heaters which work well for this adobe construction which so efficiently regulates the heat. There is also a Trombe wall heating unit for the winter set on the south facing adobe. This works well during the winter, but reflects the solar gain during the summer. There is a compost area, together with recycling. Clothes drying is afforded by clothes-lines located under a deck in the west. This allows for drying clothes, but effectively protects them from any passing rain or showers.
