This property is accessed via a dirt road and is appr. 0.8 miles from the highway. The house is all electric and water is provided via a shared well and is no-charge. The house sits on 1 acre and has beautiful views of the back of the Sandia Mountains and has some established flower beds and other plants to cheer up the front of the home. It is a passive solar design... which means in the winter when it's blue skies, the home literally heats itself when the sun shines in on the brick floors and adobe accent walls. Roman blinds act as an insulator at night to trap the heat in the house. There is also a very efficient wood burning stove for the cloudy days - or electric baseboard heaters in each room for convenient isolated heating. Cooling is evaporative and only needs to be used during the very hottest months thanks to the light colored roofing and solar-minded positioning. There is a large, fenced yard which surrounds two sides of the house and a dogdoor in the laundry room which can be closed off from the rest of the house. Both cats and dogs are welcome. The house has all appliances including washer and dryer and the floors are brick throughout. One thing to keep in mind - the road to the house is not for the un-adventurous. There are days every winter when it snows that the house cannot be reached without four-wheel or all-wheel drive. On average it's about 5 - 7 days out of the winter depending of course on the weather patterns - and whether you are willing to clear the snow. There is also no "curbside" trash pick-up due to the driveway, but collection can be arranged at a lower point on the road where other neighbors have their pick-ups made. ** All leases will end July 2022 when owner will re-occupy the home. Tenet responsible for all utilities and trash collection. Trash pick-up is at the bottom of the road, not at the house so bags will need to be driven to the collection containers. Water is supplied by well, so there is no charge.
