The back and south side of the property is fenced, with two water hydrants and a separate corral, and is suitable for horses. There are two wide gates into the field, another into the backdoor area of the house, and four other man gates around the back yard, one wide enough for a riding mower. There is a hotwire around the top of the backyard fence to prevent damage from horses trying to lean over to eat grass. Power outlets are on the back of the house, by the back door, and on two sides of the garage. There is a woodshed near the back door of the house that will hold 5 cords of firewood. The steps up to the second level of the garage, the front porch and the back porch are all maintenance-free composite material. There is a large area under the stairs that is concrete, perfect for keeping yard tools and trash cans. The driveway across the garage and up to the house is paved. The house has forced-air propane heating as well as a modern woodstove in the livingroom. We also have free internet because of our agreement with the provider that he has permission to keep his transceiver system for the local area on our garage roof. The well is less than 10 years old and has great water! We installed a hand pump on it, so even if the power goes out for an extended period, we have fresh water available.
