Greetings! I have a furnished basement with a full bath and private entrance that I'm looking to rent - suitcase-style living! My goal is really to have someone else in the mix who can be around to help out with a 92-year-old. Free light breakfast at Yogis with him as available to take him, and light food prep for lunch and light dinner (soup/crackers, grilled cheese, noodles, sandwiches are his favorite fare), and cook eats too! Ideally, I would like to be able to get away for a weekend or a week(!!) - and be able to rely on someone who can ensure medication, feeding, laundry, and get him up to the shower twice a week (he has a stair lift and is self-sufficient once upstairs with a change of clothing). While I'm in town, caregiving can be shared according to schedules, desires. And he can spend several hours alone at a time. A kitchenette can be set up in the basement; think coffee, microwave, fridge... Upstairs kitchen can be accessed with coordination - but no meat please! Laundry can be coordinated and there is a laundry mat 3 blocks away in the Village. There is an outside patio area for use and room for one car. Village convenience is walkable and Ron has a power chair we call the Hot Rod! No utility payments, free loaded cable service, and high-speed internet. $200 per month. Negotiable with handyman help and/or yardwork/shoveling. I have someone who comes to help keep the house up a few days a week, but the basement would be the tenant's responsibility. Ron is very sweet, humble, and so grateful for help and company. Sleeps a lot during the day! Loves to watch sports, westerns, and Fox News. He is ambulatory in the house with a cane and is self-sufficient with bathroom visits. There is a separate room on his main floor with another TV and space to do your own thing while being around for him. No drugs, smoking, vaping. Very limited alcohol and visitors, both only in the basement. Must love Wiley the awesome cat too! As long as caregiving is needed. With 3 months after to make arrangements. Negotiable.
