We're looking for a third person to join our friendly, quiet, and community-oriented home in Wedgwood. We're hoping to find someone who values a clean, quiet, peaceful living space, open and thoughtful communication, and socializing a bit with roommates! We enjoy spending some time together, sharing some meals, and occasionally gathering around the backyard fire pit. We also respect each other's independence and time alone. Wedgwood is a lovely, convenient neighborhood with plenty nearby. We're about three blocks from bus route 65, with direct service to UW; eight blocks from the Burke-Gilman Trail; and a couple of blocks from 35th Ave NE, with cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars, and a grocery store. Safeway and PCC are also within walking distance. You might be a great fit if you: - Keep shared spaces clean and take initiative rather than waiting to be asked. - Communicate openly, honestly, and kindly, including when something feels awkward or needs to be worked out. - Are considerate of other people's schedules, space, and need for quiet. - Value experiences, relationships, and community more than material things. - Enjoy the occasional shared meal, conversation, or spontaneous hangout, while being comfortable doing your own thing, too. The available bedroom is medium-sized (13.5' x 10.5', including the closet) in a three-bedroom, garden-level mother-in-law apartment with its own entrance in Wedgwood, NE Seattle (near NE 87th St. and 30th Ave. NE). Rent: $720/month, including nearly all utilities, plus your share of electricity and internet (budget about $50/month). Availability: December 15 or January 1; flexible move-in date. Lease: Six-month sublease through May 31, 2027. Before this date, the three roommates would discuss potentially renewing the lease for a full year together. Room: Unfurnished OR optionally furnished with a twin XL bed, desk, and coffee table. It can fit a queen bed! Bathroom: Shared. Laundry: Washer and dryer in the unit, plus a laundry-room sink. Kitchen: Shared kitchen with a dishwasher. Shared kitchen items like pots and pans, blender, etc. Outdoor space: Small backyard with a fire pit, table and chairs, and garden beds you're welcome to use. Storage: Plenty of garage space for bikes and/or extra belongings, plus additional storage closets in home. Parking: Free, unzoned street parking within the block. The room has one window in a window well. Most of the apartment has hard flooring, and the garden-level location stays pleasantly cool during summer heat waves. This safe neighborhood has lots of lovely mature trees and we are very close to the route 65 bus line that goes to UW. Six-month ublease with possible extension after May 31, 2027.

We are both in our 30s and enjoy being active. I work two days a week from home supporting medical students. Tobi is Swiss and works full-time in robotics research. We're both friendly, clean, and conscientious, and we are looking for the same!
