An antebellum addition was added in front of the original farmhouse. In 1850 the home was purchased by a doctor, who built a free standing office to the side. That was occupied by two doctors and and a dentist over a period of 50 years. All of the buildings are now joined. They occupy almost an acre lot, within easy walking distance to town.
