First off, sorry if this is in the wrong place... It is a separate apartment, but you will be sharing the bathroom with two other people. The apartment has one room. The room is appx. 14 ft x 15ft. There is a kitchen area in the apt. I've recently been told that it's called an "efficiency." The utilities (gas, water, electricity, and garbage) are included in the rent. It can be furnished, or unfurnished. And, you'll have a parking spot, if you need it. If you have any questions, or would like to see the apartment, feel free to e-mail or call me. I consider them mine, but as long as they're working and not being abused, I've always let my tenants use them. I just like to make that little distinction so I don't get a lot of complaining if they happen to break down. Secondly, there is an off-street parking spot available, but the driveway has a very steep entrance. A lot of low-sitting cars scrape their bottoms when they come and go. You've been warned. Also, if you want to buy a street parking permit from the city of Urbana, I believe they cost about $135 for one year. There are some shortcomings with the apartment/house. 1) The shared bathroom is the biggest problem. 2) The apt. only has a mini-fridge. Although, I have a spare freezer in the basement, and usually split it with the person in this apt. 3) During the winter, the bathroom and hallway get a little bit cold. 4) The house uses an old boiler. The pipes run under the floor of this apt., and they clang a bit during winter. Also, there is no smoking allowed in the building. Also, I have on occasion allowed pets. Also, I do NOT provide cable tv, phone, nor internet (you will be on your own for these).
