The four bedroom home and the detached 2 car garage (with an old pizza oven in the attached shed) sit close to the road giving plenty of space to the sweeping, tree shaded backyard and the sunny flat area that was a huge vegetable garden. The three out-buildings are now used for storage, they have housed animals in the past. While zoning now prohibits horses, cows and other livestock it is still an exceptional .61 acres in an R-3 zone. The house is a traditional 1900's four square style home with the addition of an enclosed porch and front foyer that has been turned into a small office and toilet room. The living room, dining room and eat-in kitchen (2 spaces) have tall ceilings. The enclosed, heated, porch functions nicely as a family room. Upstairs there are four bedrooms and a full bath. The heat source on the second floor is indirect via a grate in the hallway floor. The third floor, also unheated, has an extra two bedrooms and a broad landing. The town does not count the attic square footage in the 1,452 SF listed on the town property card. The basement is unfinished and has seen a lot of activity over the years. There is a "summer kitchen" (though it is unclear if the appliances work), a large storage area for the canned goods, and additional storage. The forced warm air heating system is very old and not running well. The house is served by city water and the old well has been preserved for watering the lawn, the garden, or washing cars. The electrical service box seems to be 100 amp circuit breakers. The clothes washer is in the kitchen. The back, southern, property line backs up to the rail road parking lot. A tree line provides a visual barrier. The property is located north of the train station and within walking distance to the town Marina, beach and the Guilford Green at the Town Center. This is a house that has "good bones" and a wonderful lot. The property is being sold "As-Is".
