Sitting out on the deck watching the sunrise over Mt. Hood in the early morning and watching Mt. Hood turn pink in the evenings when the sun sets with my friends, a glass of wine and appetizers. I also love the way my home looks now that I've spent $200,000 on all the remodeling. I like the vaulted ceilings, rich wood floors and the huge windows that I replaced with double pane windows a few years ago. In the summer it's cool and in the winter it's warm and cozy. My gas fireplace takes the edge off on those cool mornings and evenings when I don't feel like heating up the entire house. I love my remodeled kitchen and both remodeled baths. And, I like the fact that downstairs is a library and a full bathroom and bedroom. It would make a great Air B&B or in-law suite. There is a ton of storage in the house, too. Closets and cupboards everywhere. One of the best features of my home is the location. I can walk up the street past the 4th house and I'm in Forest Park. It's a short walk to the Pittock Mansion. And, I'm minutes from the Alphabet District, all the shops on 23rd and all the restaurants and shopping I need. As far as I'm concerned, my location and views beat the Pearl District.
