This home is located in the historic Hedgemoor Neighborhood in East Memphis. It is situated on a large, attractive lot, of nearly an acre in size. A focal point of this home is the kitchen, but not overwhelmingly. The kitchen features white marble surfaces with full length back splash of same. The island features a stained concrete surface. The appliances are stainless, including the ice maker and wine cooler. There is a Five Star chef's gas cooker in black with stainless trim. It features a double oven, six open burners and a griddle. A keeping room continues off the kitchen with a gas log fireplace. The dining table is in this area, as is the extra long and spacious sofa, custom built for the space. A great spot for lounging. The living room is to the front of the home with large windows. One wall offers custom cabinets, while another offers a gas log fireplace. The room's floor is about six inches lower than the rest of the house. The front foyer features a travertine marble floored entry. Following the foyer, begins the library. This grand, open area is the main intersection of movement through the home. Complete with custom bookshelves and lighting, it is an area you may want to linger. The powder room is accessed from here. Leaving the library directly to the rear, you enter the large den, with vaulted ceiling. This room features a large, wood burning fireplace with gas starter. Light is in abundance via the four windows and two sets of custom rear doors that provide direct access to the patio. The bedrooms are all located on the first floor on the same end of the house. Bedroom one and two share a bath with separate access from each bedroom. Bedroom three has a private bath with singular access. The surfaces of both baths are white marble and white tile. The master bedroom is at the end of the hall and large enough to offer a seating area. Lots of full length windows to brighten the room when desired. A very relaxing view of the back yard from here. Immediately off the master bedroom is the short hall to the lavatory and bath areas. Entering the hall, one finds custom cabinetry, and access to the separate, but not equal, walk-in closets. The smaller one provides plenty of space, but the larger one is possibly three times as large. Exiting the short hall, you enter the lavatory and vanity area of the master bath. An under mount, double vanity is on one side of this room with a makeup vanity on the other. The floor is a white/gray small marble tile. The vanity tops are white marble with veins of soft coloring. Next is the actual bath area offering a large, glass-walled shower. It also has a wonderful soaking tub. The walls of the bath area are white, rectangular tiles. Lastly, upstairs is a play or game room. Beyond this are some built-ins and book shelves. Further is the entry into a very large attic. The primary attic is open with a high roof. Beyond this main area, past construction additions generally do not offer this same openness. Outdoors, the large patio features limestone steps, with aggregate and slate. A semi-circle, painted brick sitting wall, capped in limestone, faces you across the patio when entering from the den. The rear porch has floors of brink and painted brick columns. The detached garage has three spaces with separate doors, as well as a storage room. The driveway is of the same poured aggregate as the patio. It features a large rear parking area, as well as a double parking pad for those choosing the front entry. The lawn features both areas of grass, beds, as well as numerous large oaks and other ornamental trees. The lawn grass is zoysia. Lastly, the square footage used here is from city tax records and is auto-filled. I have not measured it myself, but would think it is reasonably close. But I cannot confirm if the square footage is plus or minus to the Shelby County Tax Assessor's estimate.
