Lake Sammamish is eight miles long and runs North to South from Redmond to Issaquah. Lake Sammamish is bordered by Marymoor Park at the North end. Lake Sammamish State Park is at the South End and the East Lake Sammamish Trail runs the entire length of the Eastside and connects downtown Issaquah to downtown Seattle. If you like to play in the water, Lake Sammamish is by far the best place to indulge in Western Washington. The summer months the lake water temperature can feel bath like, reaching up to 78 degrees. During the summer months, you will see many water-sport enthusiasts out in the early morning, when the peacefulness of the Lake makes the water as smooth as glass.
