Cute unit with lots of good natural light, and view of the moon rising in the evening, with new wooden blinds and a clean interior. The 49 bus to Capitol Hill/Broadway and Downtown, and the 70 bus to Downtown stop right across the street every 15-30 minutes. The unit is in a charming 1928 building with very nice neighbors. The HOA is responsive. Your neighbor above and below you are part of the HOA and are very into gardening and houseplants, and tend to have regular re-potting sessions together in the laundry room. It's a quiet building, and the construction next door is in its final stages, so there's no more drilling or noise work, thankfully. I'm looking to rent it out because I want to be within walking distance of Capitol Hill and Downtown. Dogs are on a case-by-case basis, as having had a number of dogs myself I know that despite their best intentions, they can be accidentally destructive. The building is full of pet owners, though, and one dog whisperer and trainer, so you'll be right at home if you have pets. There is safe street parking and in the 2 years I've lived here I've never had any trouble with my car. I am able to find parking on Franklin about 50% of the time, and there is always parking on Allison, which is the residential street one block over. The neighbors are all very nice and there's solidarity amongst those living on Franklin about the fact that construction has taken some of the street parking we previously enjoyed. My favorite part about the unit is how close it is to the UW, Trader Joes, UW Medical, Montalek Park, Little Lago's, Sebis (my absolutely favorite restaurant and with a very neighborhood vibe), 4 different mini "pocket parks" on Lake Union, where people go swimming in the summer, and bus access. It's also within walking distance to all the eateries on Eastlake, so if you eat out like me, you will have plenty of places to go. Tenant is responsible for W/S/G and Electricity.
