The Tara is a beautifully renovated 1887 colonial farmhouse that sits on the hill overlooking downtown Bellaire, Michigan. At the bottom of the hill sits the Intermediate River, where the river is below the dam which separates the North and South Chain of Lakes, you have access to the entire southern chain of lakes; Bellaire, Clam, Torch, Skegemog and Elk Lake which are all accessible by boat, cayak, or canoe. The Tara was renovated in 2021, with three cozy bedrooms, one large bathroom, and a large front porch, perfect for a hot cup of coffee as you watch the sun come up over the mountains just east of town. The home is fully furnished with three queen beds, living room, den and large gourmet kitchen. Enjoy time at the fire pit on the upper lot, or head down to the riverside for a campfire, or some quiet time on the decks along the river. Canoe, cayak, and swim (cold plunges too!) year round as the river doesn't freeze. Bellaire is a quaint little tourist own and is home to Shorts Brewery; a nationally renowned brewer of beers in the heart of downtown. Visitors who come to the area to bike, golf, hike, and boat all can all be found dining downtown. Those mountains to the east are home home to Shanty Creek and Schuss Mountain, golf and skiing for year round fun!
