101 year old farm home 3 Bedrooms 2 Bath 1,536 sq ft. Built with a level of craftsmanship and durability rarely seen anymore. The home has it's original solid oak doors, oak trim, and hardwood floors. Large central living room space connected directly to a den and dining room with large wide windows for lots of natural lighting. Carpet covers the downstairs and stairwell with tile in the downstairs bathroom and kitchen. Plumbing was completely updated in summer 2025 (PEX Pipe, new fixtures on sinks and bathtubs, new fill valves in both toilets) Electricity was updated and brought up to code in summer 2025 (Brand new Breaker box with surge protector, new junction boxes in basement etc) Brand New Washer and Dryer New Water Heater New Smart Oven connects to Wi-Fi and can be controlled from an app on your phone (just scan the QR code on the front). New Microwave on wire rack offers lots of room to place your cooking gear. Despite some tears in the wallpaper it is widely intact and has a very comforting and charming feeling throughout the house. A large cast iron bathtub upstairs with vintage fixtures has great water pressure and can fill up a steaming bath very quickly. The shower is to be found in the downstairs bathroom (also in a cast iron tub). While sitting on the patio sofa on the front porch it's hard to tell that you are on the eastside of Indianapolis, but rather feels somewhere more rural like Pendleton or Fortville. Lots of the neighbors have chickens, gardens, and mature trees all around. We never really have any trouble around here. As mentioned in the lease agreement some of the old oak windows are better left alone. These will be demarcated and shown to you so you will know not to open them (lease agreement will be "as-is". That being said most of the windows open and close just fine and have an option for storm panes and/or metal screens depending on the season and if you like a good breeze. You will have a yard with an extra lot to the south. There are no adjacent houses, it is a corner lot. The property manager rents his workshop space out of my pole barn which is the lot just to the southside of the house where he will be able to survey the property and be located often to lend a hand if any repairs are necessary. Bi weekly lawn mowing is included in rent fee. Limb and shrub clearing as well. I typically live in this house, but I will be preparing to travel abroad to receive treatment for a neurological disorder for one year or longer. If you love the place and would like to renew the lease for another year, we can discuss that as well. Thank you for your time and interest. -One Year Lease -$1,200 Deposit -Master Bedroom comes with a new King Size bed (Everything else pictured in the master bedroom will be removed) There are some furnishings that are shown in pictures, if you wish to use them you are more the welcome, but if you prefer them out of the way we can move them to the basement. You just let me know. This is a 101 year old farm home. It was built with great craftsmanship and it's bones are incredibly strong. It has original solid oak doors, trim, and hard wood floors. The house has a lot of character, but as an old house it also has accumulated some imperfections such as nicks or scratches in the wood, blemishes in the carpet, tears in the wallpaper. Most of these are merely cosmetic, however there are several windows that cannot be opened without precautions taken. These will be marked and shown to you. That being said, most of the windows open and close just fine and there are storm panes and metal screens within the window frame that you may change with the timing of the year. I always enjoy a good breeze upstairs. Property will be leased "as is".
