We're looking for a responsible, warm and dog-loving housemate to join our home in San Ramon from October 1 through mid-December, with some flexibility to stay a little longer. About Our Home & Your Room Our warm and spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bath home overlooks the San Ramon golf course, with mature trees and shrubs surrounding the property. Large windows bring wonderful natural light throughout the house. You'll have a fully furnished private downstairs bedroom and your own full bathroom with shower/tub. Your room has: Private sliding-glass entrance leading to a side wood deck Private full bathroom Lots of natural sunlight Ample closet/storage space Furnishings included You'll also have access to the shared living areas and our spacious gourmet kitchen, featuring a GE Monogram 5-burner cooktop and GE trash compactor. One of our favorite features is being able to cook while looking out toward the golf course. Fantastic San Ramon Location We're within walking distance of the Iron Horse Trail, Starbucks, restaurants, Walmart and other conveniences. It's a great location if you enjoy walking, getting outdoors or simply having everyday necessities nearby. An Important Part of the Arrangement We will be traveling for approximately three weeks beginning in late October and are specifically hoping to find a housemate who genuinely loves dogs and would enjoy keeping our dog company while we're away. During our trip, we would ask you to: Stay overnight at the house with him Take him on two short, approximately 15-minute walks each day Feed him and provide his normal daily care Give him some companionship while his family is away We will provide a rental credit for the period you are caring for him. We'd love for you to move in several weeks before our trip so that you and our dog can get comfortable with each other before we leave. Meet Our Furry Family Member Our 9-year-old German Shepherd mix is a beautiful black-furred guy whom people often describe as a "chill dog." He loves his quiet time at home and enjoys walks on the trail. When other dogs pass, he simply continues on his walk and focuses on his family even when the little dogs are busy barking at him! He generally barks once in the evening to announce that it's officially playtime. Otherwise, he's happiest relaxing at home and being near his people. About Us We're a couple in our 50s whose two kids are now off to college. I work from home and my husband is recently retired. We enjoy hiking, walking our dog, spending time outdoors and occasionally entertaining friends. We also have another male housemate who works remotely and enjoys his privacy in the upstairs area of the home. Our household is friendly and welcoming, but we also believe everyone should be able to enjoy their own space.
