This is a nice little area tucked in the upper north corner of downtown San Jose, away from some of the business of downtown proper. It is still an easy bike ride into downtown for events. Japantown is right down the street. It is centrally located for access to many neighboring cities. in 2010 Empire Gardens elementary School will become a California Distinguished School. Both Burnett Academy and San Jose High Academy are International Baccalaureate Organization schools.
