J. P. Lampert had the good fortune to acquire and build upon this isolated knoll just between the Glendale and Eagle Rock borders in 1929. Old photographs show his creation as a "Spanish castle upon the hill" with views in all directions. In the early 50's it was sold to a Glendale physician where she happily raised her large family with decades of wonderful memories. In 2015, it was purchased by the investment company HHS Investments and underwent a complete rebuild over a period of 8 months, customizing the house for the new owners. From the floorboards on up, the total reconstruction included a new floor plan, new electrical, plumbing, Spanish tile roof (which had been taken completely off in a previous remodel), and high end interior/exterior finishes. The large parcel is comprised of three lots totaling over 30,000sf with amazing views. The two story home is over 2,800sf with wide plank hardwood floors, original Spanish tile entry, huge living room and music performance area, fireplace, and large picture windows throughout. There is also a separate music studio designed by famed architect Peter Grueneisen, adding an additional 340 square feet, with a roof top view deck for outdoor entertaining. The house has an attached two car garage, as well as a separate workshop/gardening room.
