Daytona Beach has been touted as "The Most Famous Beach in the World" and is the only place you can walk for miles on sugar sand without having to turn around. This property is right on the beach and because of the units southeast exposure, the large balcony stays bathed in sun during the winter and shaded in the summer for year-round star gazing, ocean watching enjoyment. It's far more quiet and serene here and less touched by the fanfare of downtown (the nearest tee-shirt shop is about a mile away--pretty far by Daytona standards). Yet if you want the nightlife you've heard about, it's within minutes by car, fifteen minutes by car driving on the beach, and thirty-five minutes by sandy feet (an hour if you take a few dips in the ocean along the way).
