I'm renting a room in my 3 bedroomed townhouse in Durham. The house has two occupants: me, a 44 yrs old man, and my wife. The house has two bathrooms and 3 toilets (the third toilet is downstairs). We have our own bathroom and toilet, but the other toilet and bathroom will be shared between the person that will occupy the room I'm renting out and probably a future tenant. The room will be available as from July 1, 2025. The room is furnished with a bed and mattress. I'm renting the room on a month-to-month basis. Rent is $550 per month. We share the cost of utilities (water and electricity) which comes to $100 per person monthly but might spike during winter due to heating. Wi-Fi is free. A refundable security deposit of $350 will be required at the signing of the lease. Washer and dryer are within the building. We share common spaces like kitchen and living room. Parking is available on the street. Bring your utensils if you have. The new occupant will be subjected to criminal background check before the signing of the lease. No weapons of any nature are allowed within the premises. Smoking of cigarettes, marijuana, vape, hookah, etc is not permitted inside and within 3 meters of the premises.
