I'm subleasing my apartment (with landlord permission) from July 15, 2022 thru January 15, 2023, with a possible option to extend up to 6+ months. Market rent is $2,800+ per month unfurnished. The apartment feels like a cottage, but it shares a bathroom wall with a neighbor so it's technically a duplex. It's 895 sq. ft. with one bedroom, formal dining room (currently used as an office), large living room with fireplace, kitchen with full-size appliances (no dish washer), and bathroom with a tub. It's 1-1/2 blocks from the Lake Merritt close enough to pop out for a lake walk, but far enough to avoid any noise when the lake gets busy. There are two duplexes on this well-groomed property, with two shared backyards, off-street parking for one car, and free washer/dryer. This is a no-smoking property; pets are allowed (but no large dogs). The apartment interior was painted and refurbished in 2021 so it's very clean and in great shape. The management company will respond to any requests for maintenance. It's generally quiet here, and I'm very neat and minimalistic; some of the photos were taken when I had more stuff. I'll pack away small items and leave lots of closet, drawer, and surface space for you. I have an organic bed (latex/wool) and water/air filters, so if you have allergies, chemical sensitivities, or just appreciate a clean peaceful living space, you'll feel good vibes here. The owner pays for water and trash, but you are responsible for PG&E. I have Xfinity high-speed internet and streaming for $30/month. You'll find everything you need to move in and live comfortably. I'm hoping for someone who will take care of my indoor plants and succulents on the porch! Note: This is a formal sublease with the landlord's permission. You need to fill out an application, pay for a credit check, and sign a sublease agreement with the management company. But I'll only put one person/couple through this process, so you won't be in competition with others. If you are a good fit for this sublease, then the process with the management company will be a formality. We'll keep in touch regarding an extension if you're interested, and decide by November 2022. I'm more likely to be gone for a full year, but I do need the flexibility to return sooner.
