UPDATE: An application was approved today on 6/14. Once we complete the lease and deposit the listing will come down later this week, most likely before the weekend. I don't mind brief communications with people shopping and looking. My advice to anyone struggling to find something, show up early and be well dressed because you are asking to borrow 250k a year of someone's personal money/assets, not 1900/mo. Also your rent only, should not be more than 25% of your take home pay (after taxes). Thanks, good luck. Common question, do I accept vouchers? NO. I'm sorry. $1900 dollars is a steal. Everyone else with a similar house is at $2100+ The house is one level. Open floor plan with eat-in kitchen, 12' vaulted ceilings in kitchen and living room; then smaller bedrooms down the hall. The master bedroom is a true master with its own full bathroom. 3 Bed, 2 Bath, Kitchen, Living Room, Sunroom, off street parking. Garbage disposal, and water filter at sink, ice maker. Laundry room connects off the kitchen, hooks ups available. The closet space in the bedrooms I would describe as small. The size of the laundry room compensates somewhat. Kitchen pantry size is good. No microwave. Also note, there is no bathtub, only two standing showers with easy step in. Driveway has single lane entrance but opens up to hold up to six cars, no garage. There are three ceiling fans: living room, and bedrooms 1 and 2. The one in the livingroom you can download some app and control it remotely. Neighborhood: Small church across the street. On one side of the house there is someone's empty lot where they might build soon. On the other side you've got the driveway and then some space. Behind the house, there is three more empty lots. The biggest downside to this whole listing is that its one of the nicest houses on the street. This house is actually right between two other rentals, and theres at least three more down around the corner, none of which are mine. Location is great for all of Knoxville, but it is also surprisingly, tucked away from busy traffic off the main roads, no thru traffic. On the map the house looks like its right next to the interstate, but on the ground its off in the distance. There is a mountain between the house and 640. At the back of the neighborhood some guy owns five acres with chickens and a pony. =p Maintenance: You are responsible for repairs under $40 dollars. Depending on the repair, I might fix it myself or; call a technician and coordinate with you when they can come by. Tenant responsible for yard care: you can do it yourself or find a lawncare company. There are no property managers, its just me. I've owned this house going on 8 years now and its been a rental the whole time. I bought it from someone who flips houses. Minimum one year. Deposit amount always the same as the monthly rent. Tenant pays all utilities and media services in their own name. Tenant responsible for yard care, you can do it yourself or pick your own service company. Tenant supplies washer and dryer machines for clothes, W/D hook ups available in laundry room. Common question, do I accept vouchers? NO. I'm sorry. Criminal and Credit check required as well as some references. Your rent should be 25% of your TAKEHOME pay. APPLICATIONS: ARE FREE, IN PERSON, AT THE HOUSE.
