A cedar cabin that was built in the 1920's and is historically restored. The cabin is on a very quiet private dirt road with few cars that pass by. The cabin is on a hillside but the private entrance is at street level. It has 1 bedroom, a bathroom with a shower stall, a full kitchen with a washer and dryer, a large living room with a stone fire place, a sunroom with a dining table & chairs surrounded by windows that are over looking cedars, oaks and huge pines, a small room with a desk & a loft bed up some stairs and nice outdoor sitting deck also looking out at the trees and pond. The cabin is fully furnished and the furniture stays with the cabin. The heat for the cabin comes from a propane gas log Franklin heater which makes the cabin nice and toasty in winter. Our cabin is quiet, comfortable and has lots of atmosphere. It is at 5,300 feet elevation with beautiful skies and sometimes snow in the winter. Perfect mountain living. The cabin is 1 hour and 20 minutes from San Diego and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Orange County. We are very close to the Palomar Mountain State Park and the Palomar Mountain Observatory. There is street parking but there is no room for RV's, larger trucks or personal storage sheds. As owners we have a basement apartment that we use on occasion. Renter pays for utilities; propane gas (we have a tank on the property), water, electricity, landline and wifi. No pets allowed. No smoking. There is street parking but no parking for RV's or large trucks. If there is a big snow storm (does not happen every year) in winter it is handy to have an all wheel drive or similar. You must have very good credit, have verifiable income and excellent rental history. The lease is for 6 months and has the possibility of renewing. First month and $2,000 security deposit needed at signing. It is important to leave the cabin as you find it, when you move out. There is WIFI there but it can be slower than in the city. There is no cell reception so all calls need to be done with wifi calling and there is a landline in the cabin.
