LIFE ON THE RIVER! Welcome to our home in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, located at 5700' set along the banks of the Roaring Fork River in one of the greatest small towns on the Western Slope. Glenwood offers numerous activities depending on the season, including skiing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, biking, and rafting. Our restaurants are numerous, the scenery spectacular, and one of the world's largest outdoor hot springs is minutes away! Our home is located on the south end of town, next to the Rio Grande bike trail and an easy 45 minute drive up the valley past Carbondale and Basalt to Aspen. We live on three levels (keeps us in shape) connected by a central, open stairway. The main level is an open concept floor plan consisting of a newly remodeled contemporary kitchen, living room, dining room, and half bath. Architectural windows, wood floors and a stone fronted gas fireplace all add to the "contemporary casual" feel of the home, and a deck over the river is the biggest draw where you'll spend time watching rafts, fisherman, birds and listening to the sound of the river rushing by. The lower level offers two bedrooms, each having a queen size bed with down comforters and sliding doors to access the lower deck. There's a table and porch swing, a propane-fueled fire pit and 6-person spa, and plenty of room for entertaining. The Family Room has a 64" TV, a great selection of books and ample seating. Plenty of room for the inflatable mattress in here too! There's a large shared bath, office space, and laundry. The master suite with a queen size bed, is on the upper level and is attached to a greenhouse for warming up on cold winter days and is a lovely spot for morning coffee or stargazing at night. There is a two car garage for winter parking with snowshoes available. We invite you to relax and enjoy our lovely home and treat it as you would yours.
