Introducing The 1812 House, one of the most iconic and revered homes on Deer Isle. Being more or less grounded in the region during the War of 1812, Captain Marshall employed his crew to build this home in this commanding location at the center of the island. The rooms are spacious with each one offering a different feel and character. The heart of the house is the magnificent chimney with 5 fireplaces including the large, period kitchen Cook's Hearth.
