Near many culturally rich venues - great museums, and music venues, off-broadway productions at Proctors in Schenectady, Saratoga Race Track, NY City is an hour and a half by car. Beautiful Catskill mountains. New England states close enough to go play and Montreal Canada is very doable by car. We like to think that the Village of Athens is the best kept secret in Greene county :-) Hmm - not any longer.....
