A free shuttle will take you from our driveway to the lifts and back again. 5K of groomed cross country ski trails are right outside the door in the meadow. 50K of cross country trails can be accessed at the x-country center which is a five minute walk. Other winter activities available are dog sledding, sledding and snow shoeing. Kirkwood in the summer is an amazing place with lots of wildflowers, hiking and biking. Kirkwood offers lift assisted mountain biking on the slopes. Silver lake, Caples lake and Kirkwood lake are within minutes of our house for hours of swimming, fishing and boating. You can also enjoy horseback riding at Kirkwood stables. South Lake Tahoe is an easy 30 minute drive away.
