    What's special

Bright and spacious second-floor apartment in a multi-unit building on the eastern border of Oak Park and Chicago, directly across the street from the big and beautiful Columbus Park. With high ceilings, big windows, and plenty of closet space, this apartment truly feels bigger than it's footprint. Pet-friendly (with an additional $10/mo. pet rent, no weight/size limits), there is a large courtyard area in the back leading to the laundry room where the pups can play, just downstairs from your western-facing shared balcony. The entire building is managed by Oak Park Apartments and are very responsive should any needs arise, but are otherwise hands-off overall. Very CTA accessible with the Austin bus stop right out front, the Blue Line is a 6 minute walk south, and the Green Line a bit further north. The surrounding area to the west has a very quiet, hip-suburban vibe with coffee and artist shops just down the block along Harrison St., and a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Oak Park where you'll find more great restaurants, shopping centers, and the historic Lake Theater. Only one block away from the 290 exit, but not so close you'll hear traffic all day long. This apartment truly is perfectly situated for those who want to have easy access in/out of the city, but are looking to live a little further out from the hustle and bustle in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood with plenty of rich history and beautiful historic architecture. It's really a great place to call home, without having to pay those insane Oak Park property taxes! Renter Responsible for Gas and Electric.
