I am moving out of my 1bd/1ba roscoe village apartment after 2 years. loved this place, but a job opportunity has taken me elsewhere. It is located on Oakley in between Roscoe and Cornelia. It is a block from Mariano's, Jewel and Walgreens. Down Roscoe street there are a whole bunch of restaurants, bars and boutique shops. And some seriously great brunch places too! There is also an OrangeTheory Fitness in the same mall as the Mariano's. There is a Whole Foods and Xsport just down Roscoe as well on Roscoe and Lincoln. Also a short walk to both the Addison and Paulina Brown Line stops, and a 20 minute walk to Wrigley Field!! The apartment is on the third floor of a 3 floor coach house. All my neighbors are quiet and friendly and we have grilled on our downstairs porch many times (there is a gas grill that I purchased that will stay at the apartment). The rent is extremely reasonable especially for the area. $875/mo and that INCLUDES DirectTV with DVR and cable internet from RCN. You have your own individually controlled heat and AC as well, and the apartment is very well insulated. My average utility bills were about $80/mo total. There is a very large bathroom that is newly tiled with a very large double door shower that has 2 shower heads, which is pretty awesome. Great water pressure as well, and there is an individual water heater in the unit. There is also a super cheap laundry downstairs for all to use. Street parking is free and unzoned - no sticker is needed at all, and there are always many, many spots available. No pets allowed, and no smoking allowed either.
