Welcome to White Buck Farm! 13 acres perfectly nestled on the Brushy Mountains in the sought after community of Moravian Falls. From the minute you turn at the red wagon wheels, you feel like you’re in another world. Peaceful, loaded with nature, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the world and yet...only 15 minutes into town. You're greeted by the late 1800's barn, greenhouse and red metal shop building. The barn is fully functional with feed room, 5 stalls, chicken coop, hay loft, and two run-in sheds. To the right is a 4 bay pole barn for equipment, four wheelers and hay storage. The garden area has pesticide free soil. The 1400sf greenhouse has swamp coolers, radiant floor heat, forced air heating and an irrigation system. We did aquaponics in it at one time. The 2000 sf heated metal shop has it's own office, full bathroom and kitchenette and has hosted many music evenings, worship nights, home church gatherings, and retreats as well as oil changes, building projects and boat storage. When you pull up to the house, you are greeted by a white picket fence with climbing Peggy Martin Roses, hydrangeas, peony bushes, crepe myrtles and a front porch you will LIVE on and never want to leave. We don't know how...but the porch is MAGICAL. No matter how hot it is, you still feel a breeze at all times. It's the perfect spot for your morning coffee or to entertain a crowd. As soon as you enter the front door, you feel the comfort of "home". Pine wood floors, a beautiful entry that leads to a dream kitchen and cozy den with a beautiful stone fireplace with wood burning stove insert. The kitchen was made for hospitality. An electric 6 burner range, two ovens and two dishwashers...which I have loved wayyy more than I thought I would...a big eat in area, and a room off the kitchen that will seat and feed up to 24 people. We have hosted so many family reunions, birthdays and parties in this space. The first floor master is very large and right off the den. It has a sunroom with back deck access, a reading nook area, a remodeled master bath with his and her closets and reclaimed barn wood accents. All of the other bedrooms are upstairs. There is a large landing at the top of the stairs where we had a big screen tv for the kids and their friends to hang out. Three bedrooms and three baths, and one smaller room that we used as a bedroom (so cozy) or it would also be a great office space. You can access the basement apartment (last 4 pictures) from a door off of the kitchen but it also has its own driveway, entrance and outdoor areas including a deck we built overlooking the pond and mountain stream that runs through the back yard. We remodeled it FULLY in 2017 for our in-laws to move in and they lived there and loved it for 9 years. Custom kitchen cabinets, beamed ceilings, stone fireplace with wood burning insert, two bedrooms and two baths, and the third bedroom they converted into a huge walk in closet/dressing room/laundry area. It could easily be converted back to a third bedroom. All in all, this place is a dream. It is perfect for the family that wants to get away from the rat race of the city, the ones who dream of homesteading, the multi-generational family with aging parents or grown children, or the ones who want to have a house to host retreats and events. On the land, you will find mature apple trees, pear trees, peach trees, grapevines and blueberry bushes. There's also 2-3 additional build sites and a RV site ready to go with electric, water and sewer. Bottom line...it's a dream spot. A spot you will never need a vacation from. A spot you will never want to leave. A spot you will love having people over to. A spot where your entire family can gather and make memories for years and years to come. Showings will begin the week of July 6th by appointment only.
What the owner loves about this home
I am literally sitting on the front porch as I work on this listing. There are not enough words to describe it. Breeze blowing, wind chimes going, toad croaking from the pond, fireflies coming up out of the grass, dog laying at my feet. We LIVE on this porch and even if it's 100 degrees, it's cool here...it never ceases to amaze us. I wish I knew how many gatherings have been on this porch through the years...so many conversations and special times. There's nothing like it. I also love that this has been a multi-generational home for us and the previous owners. It makes it so special.
