I am in the process of installing all new tile in the master bathroom shower and have already installed all new plumbing inside the shower wall. I have completed the interior of the garage turning it into my sewing room. I removed almost all of the old paneling, drywall and insulation replacing it with all new products. Each wall has been painted in a different, bright, cheerful color. A friend said it reminds him of romper room! I removing the existing utility room my husband had built many years ago in order to bring the inside of the garage the correct size to conform with National City code for a two car garage. With the parking area still the size required by National City code I re-built the utility room at the back of the garage. It is now 6’ X 9’. It contains the washer, dryer and hot water heater. It also contains a 2’ X 2’ X 7’8” movable two door closet. There is plenty of room to set up a small table for sorting and folding laundry. An added plus is just outside the utility room doorway is a 6'7" X 8'3" area that is perfect for a small office. Starting in 2011, with permits, I removed all the old wood siding and a large portion of the old stucco on the front of my home. I replaced it with new wood siding. I built the two car garage door with the same siding making it so it matches the siding installed above and to the sides of the two car garage door that I also built using the same siding. All the remaining stucco on the house has been completely re-done. I then had the entire exterior of the house painted with “COOLWALL SUPER-COAT” by Tex-coat. In 2014 I replace the old roof with two layers of composition roofing with all the ridges self-venting. Also in 2014 I had six of the ten existing windows replaced. The new windows are the 7000 series slider windows. They are made with one layer of triple coat Low-E glass and one lite of clear glass, enhanced with Argon gas and a warm-edge spacer system for exceptional thermal performance. They come with a lifetime warranty, lifetime insulation glass warranty, lifetime glass breakage warranty and lifetime screen warranty. They also have a cam-action lock so they can be left open a few inches for ventilation. What I like best about them is they can be opened on either side. Outside the sliding glass doors in the living room is a nice size covered patio. That roof was replaced in 2015
