Neighborhood Description This is a great neighborhood, mixed incomes, everyone looks out for each other, and they are young and old and middle, and of every kind of background. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet even though it is close to everything, the university, the hospitals, the schools, downtown, and not too far from the freeway. One block up the side street is a lovely, just renovated park. I can ride my bike to the grocery store and the best elementary school in El Paso (Mesita, just built last year), with its innovative dual language education, is around the corner.
