We are moving out of state, and our 2b/1ba apartment in Roscoe Village is going to be available starting in February (rent is $1725/mo). It is a large first floor corner unit with SE exposure (great for house plants), that shares a porch and front yard with one other unit. The building itself is the only rental property owned by the landlords, and only has four units. The landlords are responsive and friendly. It's pet friendly, has a lot of large windows, a bathtub, dine-in kitchen, dining room, front room, closets, laundry room/pantry, full sized in-unit washer and dryer, private entrance with foyer, free storage in the basement, and central heating and air. It has a gas stove, a shower with great water pressure that never runs out of hot water, and a dishwasher. It's got vintage built-ins, stained glass, and hardwood throughout. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. Parking our van has never been an issue even on street cleaning days, and no permits are required to park in the neighborhood. The apartment is conveniently located one block from Roscoe's main drag, meaning a Jewel, Marianos, mechanic, bike shop, bars, cafes, bakery, gyms, and a thrift store are within easy walking distance. There is an Angelic Organics CSA drop off within walking distance. Sought after Bell school district if that's important to you. Closest train stops are Paulina and Addison (brown line), and buses that run on Addison come often and are a block away. The river and a river park are nearby, where you can hop on the bike path, rent kayaks, or join one of Chicago's rec crew teams. The neighborhood is very kid, dog, and bike friendly. We have lived here happily for the last year and a half even as the pandemic keeps us cooped up, and would gladly stay if we could. One time $200 pet fee, water paid by landlord
