I will be adding to it as I can. This is my first time listing a home for sale by owner and to be honest I never thought I would have to. I always imagined my family and I growing old here as we LOVE the home and the neighborhood! The home is perfect in every way except for the fact that weve had a second child and need another bedroom. Until recently I had plans for an addition and plenty of room to do it however a different home just around the corner just fell into our lap and was to good to pass up. So it was a win/win because we get to stay in the best neighborhood anyone could ask for! As for the home itself the name of the game with this place is CHARACTER and it is FILLED WITH IT! It has two large bedrooms on the second floor both with a walk in closet and a spare closet in each! Two full bathrooms one on the second level and one in the basement. A corner lot, which in all actuality is half a block located on 4th street between Pine and Cherry. The other half of the block is a wide open lot where a house was torn down shortly after we moved in. We are literally the only house on this block! Our home has a huge yard with plenty of room to play and or expand. A large driveway with a great detached garage. Everything that weve done to the home since weve been here has been with the upmost respect and attention to keeping it period correct. I pride myself on the woodwork in this home and made certain that 18 inch Crown molding throughout first floor matches the original woodwork flawlessly. Wallside Lifetime warranty windows that appear to be wood on the inside and white vinyl on the outside and match the woodwork in the home again flawlessly. Craftsman style three panel doors for upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms that are period correct and match the woodwork perfectly as well. Hardwood floors throughout except in the basement and upstairs bathroom which is ceramic tile. Upstairs has newer etched carpet overtop the hardwood for comfort in the bedrooms and hallway. Meticulously went through the details on the home to make sure that its a place that we can be proud to call our own. Shortly after we moved in we had the entire house done with blown in insulation by Ace and Sons. It DRAMATICALLY cut our gas bill in the winter months and helped out tremendously with our electric bills in the summer months. Basement is partially finished with a beautiful bathroom that was done recently. Being downtown is the place to be in this city and we are right in the mix walking distance to anything and everything fun no matter what floats your boat!
