This is a "mid-term rental" intended to help people who need a place to live temporarily for whatever reason. Ideally leases are for 3 months, but I will consider longer based on circumstances. This is a fully-furnished apartment. I am NOT looking for a long-term tenant. The building was gutted and all new in 2023 with green appliances and systems. Wood floors, granite and quartz countertops, bright and sunny with east and south-facing windows. NOTE that the photos do not show the current furnishings as I've had tenants leaving and moving in the same day and haven't had an opportunity to take new ones. There is now a dresser and TV in the primary bedroom, and the third bedroom, which used to have a full-size bed now has bunk beds with a full size bed on the bottom and twin on top. $4000/month includes all utilities! Heat/AC, Fiber Wifi, Water, Electric, it's all included. The apartment is completely furnished and completely private. I will collect a $350 housekeeping fee (+ an add'l $100 cleaning fee if you have a pet - its the hair!) along with the 1st month's rent and $500 pet deposit (if applicable, refunded assuming no pet damage) when we sign a lease. This is a mid-term rental. It's not AIR BnB, it's also not long term. 3-6 months is the ideal lease term. Extensions are an option. Holiday guests, international travelers, displaced homeowners, moving to the area, visiting nurses, are all welcome, I understand that the length of the stay will vary, that's OK. Rates will be based on the length of stay if appropriate. I live on the 1st floor (a requirement for short-term rental properties) so if you're loud it will be a problem. Your well-behaved pet/s is/are welcome, although I will collect a damage deposit JUST IN CASE! I have a cat and a dog myself. I spent over a year renovating the property for maximum comfort and energy efficiency. You'll find heat pump HVAC with and water heaters, an induction stove, and the electric comes (mostly) from solar panels on the roof. Please let me know what questions you have - if you google the address you'll see we're in a very central location, convenient to Lake Michigan, I94 and I294, O'Hare isn't too far, a 20-30 min drive. Locally several hospitals are within a mile or two, as is Northwestern University. The transit system provides convenient access to Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, as well as to downtown Chicago and the Ravinia Festival too!
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
