    On 5.66 acres in Huntington County, this spacious home has 2,498 square feet of living space over a basement, an oversized 2 car garage, a 24' by 20' barn, fenced pasture areas, and more! 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths are on the main level, then there are 2 additional bedrooms and a half bath upstairs. The laundry area is on main level as well. There is a large eat-in kitchen as well as a dining room. There is both a living room and family room on the main level as well. Recent upgrades include adding a new half bath in 2024, the furnace and central air in 2023, well pump and pressure tank in 2023, adding a new wrap around deck in 2023, and upgraded electric including a new panel in 2022. They also added 2 fenced pastures and a free standing lean-to in the larger pasture since they have lived there, and also converted one building into a playhouse for their grandkids. They have enjoyed living in this area, and have found it convenient to be only a few miles to I-69, and about 15 minutes from both Huntington and Marion. Please note, you do have to go through one of the main level bedrooms to get to the stairway to go upstairs. Tax records does count it as a 5th bedroom and it does have a closet, so we're going ahead and calling it one as well, and it could be used as such. This home had property taxes payable in 2024 of under $800.00. If someone is pre-approved for less than the asking price of this home, that preapproval might be based on taxes being higher than what they are with this property. So if you think $287,500 might be a little out of reach, perhaps talk to your lender about how low the taxes are with this property, and see what they say.
