Unfortunately I have three long-term tenants moving out of my 3 BR unit in this huge triplex. They were wonderful tenants but, they decided to buy their own home. They did tell me they will miss living here. Here it is in their own words: "This is a great location- so close to downtown!! The apartment is spacious and there is a large yard for entertaining in the summer. The only reason I'm moving is because I bought a house!! Hal is a wonderful landlord - always attentive to any issues that arise and he is willing to let us make this place our own A. M. Now I'm looking for another set of great tenants to enjoy this beautiful, classic triplex. Due to the size of the building and the yard, my tenants collectively named the building the 'Minne Manor'. 'Minne' because it's on Minnehaha Avenue, and Manor because it is on a HUGE lot for the area -- over a of an acre. If you have a dog, they will love to run around this totally fenced-in play area. I do allow dogs and other pets but require a fully refundable, $100 pet deposit. The unit itself has a lot of amenities -- the result of an extensive remodel just three years ago: You'll be able to spread out over the 2 floors this unit alone occupies Three Large Bedrooms all on the same third floor Huge Living and dining room area, plus a walk in closet on the second floor Fully tiled bath and shower with new vanity Spacious kitchen with dishwasher Air conditioning from window units supplied by landlord Living room with lots of windows and natural light The only utilities you have to pay are electric, cable and internet The building also includes free laundry in the basement, and plenty of storage. You can have your own room down there so you can lock you stuff up. If you need more storage, there is also a 2-car garage on the property. The other tenants are really nice. There's a couple living in the 2BR downstairs and a man and his son in the other apartment on the second floor (the third floor is all yours). I have a lot of contractors that live nearby. They will take care of any problems very quickly. I'm sorry but I don't take Section 8 tenants. I do sign month-to-month leases with you though. If you don't like living here, I want you to not feel tied in with a year-long (or longer) lease. I'm taking a risk with a month-to-month lease. But I think you will like the place enough to stay.
