    What's special

Coming Soon! Beautiful Roseway Bungalow with Huge (850sf) Garage for Rent Not quite ready to go live, but here's a heads-up if you'll be looking for a new home in the next month or two. Not too many pictures just yet (without rooms full of boxes) but here's a sneak-peak, and we'll try to paint a picture with words. If you think you might be interested, send us a note! We're happy to field questions and we'll post more photos soon! Michael and Jennifer Here's a brief summary, followed by our description of the home. - 3 bedroom. 2 bath. 1344 square feet - Hardwoods throughout - Living room built-ins - Upstairs master suite with bathroom, laundry, skylights, bonus space, and view of Mt. St. Helens - Other two bedrooms are approximately 8' x 11' and 10' x 11' - Remodeled kitchen - French doors with private deck off the dining room - Ramp for access - Private, landscaped backyard with established vegetation, deck, and cafe lights - Raised beds - Blueberries - 850 square foot garage with RV door (14' walls) - Garage is wired and layed out for use as a shop with LOTS of storage - Two blocks to Safeway, bakery, and restaurants - 15 minutes to the airport - One block to bus lines - Awesome neighbors and neighborhood, with people and families of all ages - Gas furnace plus mini split heat pump for heating and cooling - Will consider dogs but no cats The upstairs master suite is open and airy, with beautiful fir floors, two skylights, a vaulted ceiling and a full bathroom with lots of light. Besides a "bedroom" that easily holds even a California King, there is another bonus area perfect as a reading nook, mini-office, yoga center, vanity, or whatever your imagination dreams up. On clear days, Mount St. Helens is framed in the north window. And, through much of the year, you can open the windows at each end and enjoy the breezes blowing through. There is a very large built-in with drawers and shelves for clothing, bedding, medicine, cleaning supplies, or whatever you might need along with two closets. A full size washer and dryer have a nook of their own, as well, so no need to go up and down stairs. And, the vaulted ceiling creates a space that lives large. On the main floor, the remodeled kitchen retains the best of the original home with enhanced living, including granite countertops, Bosch dishwasher, and a clever slide-out pantry. The main floor bathroom has also been remodeled with modern, but era-appropriate tile and wainscot. There are hardwoods throughout the entire house and lighted shadow boxes to display your art or photos. The living room, anchored by a decorative fireplace (not operable) and era-authentic hearth, gets lots of summer light and hosts several built-ins, both bookcases and a storage bench. In practice, the living room has two spaces, divided by the passage from the front door. We gather with friends in one, and the other we've used for quiet sitting and reading. The southeast bedroom (approx. 10.5' x 11") feels like a sunroom, with casement windows surrounding you on its south and east walls. In the summer, you can open the windows and the breeze flows through. It makes a wonderful office. We have a tenant in the basement whose bedroom is right below, so if this room is used as a bedroom the person will need to be particularly conscientious about noise. The northeast bedroom (approx. 8' x 11') has north and east facing windows, and an upper and lower closet for your wardrobe and storage. French doors off the dining room lead to a private side deck and accessible ramp to the backyard. We have spent many hours there in Adirondack chairs, having a meal or reading in the shade of the Clematis. The private backyard is reached by following a meandering slate path to an established landscape with trees, shrubs, and flowers. Cafe lights hang over a 12 by 12 cedar, at-grade deck for cozy outdoor meals and entertaining. There is outdoor storage for chairs, cushions, a grill, or garden tools. Raised beds in the front yard offer opportunities for vegetable gardening and there are blueberry bushes adjacent to the front porch. The gardens are on a drip irrigation system so they require minimal watering. The finale is a an 850 square foot garage with 14 foot high walls. We call it the garage-mahal. One of the garage doors is 12' high, so you can park an RV. It is wired and set up as a wood shop, but there are lots of possibilities. There is abundant shelving, most of it flexible so you can use it or remove it. The neighbors are awesome and so is the neighborhood. You are just blocks from Vietnamese, Thai, and Mexican restaurants and wood fired pizza. Bakeries, buses and a Safeway are one block away. You are 15 minutes from the airport. The neighbors are connected to each other, and have gathered for potlucks a couple of times each year. There are people and families of all ages. There is a tenant living in the basement who is very responsible and quiet. They have a separate entrance and space. It can be nice to have someone to take in the mail, share in garbage day duties, and look after the place when you're not around. We are not a rental management agency. We are a couple that have a few rentals that we own and manage. We are very responsive to our tenants' needs. We've lived in this home for almost 10 years and have truly loved being here. One year lease. There is a monthly utility fee of $175 that covers all utilities except internet.
