The spare room/office is upstairs and unfurnished. The ideal housemate (sorry, one person only) will be a team player, takes initiative and career oriented. Due to both allergies and landlord rules, there are no pets allowed. Also because of allergies, we're looking for a nonsmoker (cigarettes or weed). The room is available June 1st. - Rent is $1,246.50 - Security deposit is $1,499 - Utilities are split - Free off-street parking for one car - Locked and covered storage that fits bike(s) and surfboard(s) - On-site washer/dryer shared with three other units on the same property. Both are coin-operated, but very affordable. About : I'm 41, female and a busy entrepreneur. Since I can work from anywhere, I take full advantage and split time between Santa Cruz, Tahoe and Vermont. Maintaining a work/life balance with ample decompression time is what keeps me motivated. For me decompression is: running, surfing, sailing, skiing, cooking, relaxing on the deck or beach. A couple things you should know before you apply: This is not a party house. Roommates take initiative on cleaning and share duties equally. The house is on a busy street and there is city noise 24 hours a day. The house: One century ago, this space was the carriage house for a large Victorian home, which still sits in front. The stable with its horse and carriage was downstairs, while the stable master lived upstairs. It has since been remodeled several times over, but some charming Victorian features remain intact.
