We recently updated our kitchen with a granite countertop, new backsplash, tile floors, beadboard on walls, and all new SS appliances. Last year we gutted and refinished the basment, adding two large bedrooms and a bathroom, living room areas. and a large storage room. We also added an additional bathroom on the main level. The property is a dream for someone who loves a beautiful yard w/plants, flowers and beautiful Japanese Maple trees. This neighborhood is a gem in the midst of the city. Easy access to the highway and shopping and schools. Neighborhood Description Weatherstone is a lovely neighborhood that was created in the late 70s. Due to the mature trees and lovely foilage in our neighborhood, it gives you the feel of being far away from the city, when in fact we are only 17 miles to downtown Atlanta and only 2.5 miles from the interstate. Our neighbors are of all ages ranging from newlyweds in their late 20s-early 30s to retired couples in their 80s. We still have many of the original owners living here. Something even more special is that many grown children have come back to live in Weatherstone, purchasing their parent's home - the home they grew up in. Many generations have called Weatherstone "Home." We have children of all ages living here and have many activities throughout the year geared toward families (Annual Easter Egg Hunt - 4th of July neighborhood Parade - The Halloween Costume Party on the Green, just to name a few. We also have annual pool parties (The pool opening party in May- A huge 4th of July Pool party complete with a DJ, a dance contest for children, and the annual splash contest for ALL ages...It's my absolute favoriate party of the year!...It's a BLAST! - A Midnight Swim Night - A Ladies Night Happy Hour at the Pool - And finally the Pool Closing Party during Labor Day weekend) Many of our pool functions are catered as well. We also have a wonderful Weatherstone Women's Club where women of all ages in our neighbor gather for food, drinks, holiday parties, game night, and just a fun time visiting and sharing stories. If you choose Weatherstone Neighborhood as your home, you won't be disappointed.
