Four bus routes all overlap there that take people to the T subway's Orange Line at Malden Center Station. The station is 3/4 mile distance, (as is Oak Grove Station). The busses are {411 - 1 per hour, 430 - 1 per hour, 106 - 1 per half hour, 108 - 1 per half hour}. A note to those thinking about looking at apartments in Somerville at the orange line - the orange line train loads up with many people at Malden Center, almost enough to completely fill the 6 car fleet trains inbound to Boston (much of the year during peak hours). At stops closer to Boston (Assembly Square, etc) most people can't get on! Inbound you actually have a commuting advantage being farther from Boston. Regarding the pictures (OK, OK they were taken by a man) - Obviously with my tools and supplies temporarily in the apartment it's not exactly staging furniture for pictures : ) .
