The fire place is unusable and sealed up because the chimney is filled with years of debris. The bathroom floor is weak from water damage and does not have a shower. The plaster is pealing from the walls in the second back bedroom, dining room and the ceiling of the kitchen. The basement has a red dirt floor and is unfinished. Entrance to the basement is only via the hall down slanted stairs. There is a wood barn/shed in the backyard that has a dirt floor (Not a garage). The wooden front and back porches of the house are buckling and requires significant repair. The ceiling of the front porch is falling apart. The door of the abbreviated back porch is a tin contraption that is half torn from the hinges. Also, the roof has small leaks near the rear of the structure. There is a narrow loft with an entrance through the ceiling of the hallway between the bedrooms and bathroom via a step ladder, but nobody has been up there in the thirty years my mother lived in the home. However, the front and back lawns are well groomed. The concrete walkway only has small cracks. The house is in an excellent, relatively quiet, friendly neighborhood, and only minutes from downtown.
