Why do people like living in Fondren.....the answer is because all the charm and character that the neighborhood offers and houses like this one that have original wood floors, vintage tile, real wood burning fireplaces, nice size rooms, lots of storage and most importantly in my opinion lots of mature oak trees which you do not find in the suburbs. The ranch style home has the galley style kitchen overlooking a big front yard, living room with real brick fireplace and a few more upgrades like a sunroom, separate office with built-ins and a half bath. The backyard is really private with a big covered back patio with exposed wood beams and another real wood burning outdoor fireplace. Also, If you are not familiar with the commercial side of Fondren, you are within a 1 minute drive to 7 or 8 locally owned high end restaurants, Wine bar, a locally owned grocery store, yoga and dance studios and lots of other locally owned shopping stores
