Renters Insurance Tenant is required to maintain renters insurance to cover personal property loss and liability, The Landlord is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of Tenant's personal property, regardless of the cause, including but not limited to fire, flood, water leaks, burglary, or acts of nature. Tenant is strongly encouraged to obtain renters insurance to protect personal belongings and to cover liability for unintentional damage caused to the property or to third parties. If Tenant does not maintain renters insurance, they assume full responsibility for any loss or damage to personal property. 14.
