    What's special

Nestled on the shore of Lake Keowee, a large, pristine, deep water lake in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, our custom lake home provides all the amenities for relaxed lake living offering a wide variety of water sports and nearby access to dozens of hiking trails and waterfalls. Our lot is located midway up the lake in the Wynward Pointe community. Our home faces east on the main channel situated in a bay protecting the shoreline and dock. Not only was our lot chosen for its views across several miles of the lake, but also for its privacy and gentle slope to the shoreline. Although our home is best described through our drone video and 3D virtual tour photos, here are some additional features and conveniences that are not as easily seen. Our shoreline remains natural with native plantings, part of a Clemson University research project. We have worked to keep our backyard natural and a sanctuary for all types of birds and waterfowl. Two large iron-wood decks with stainless steel cabling enhance access and viewing. We purposefully designed our home for daily living entirely on the main level. The flooring for the living areas is Brazilian cherry. The center kitchen with custom cherry wood cabinets is open to the dining room, the great room with stone fireplace and to the four-season porch with a vaulted wood ceiling. Silhouette blinds are provided on windows and doors to maximize viewing while providing sun protection and energy conservation. Our monthly electric bills average less than $220 per month for our 5800 sq ft of temperature controlled space. There are ceiling fans in all living areas and dimmers on most switches. Our irrigation system is sourced with water from the lake. Our over-sized three car garage has side entry and parking with windows on three sides and an easy to clean epoxy-based floor. Walk-in closets are provided in all five bedrooms plus a large cedar walk-in closet for seasonal clothing. Built-in twin desks and cabinets are provided in the home office and a large bookcase and cabinets in the great room. The master bedroom suite has a sitting area with a fireplace and separate his and her baths with twin walk-in closets. A second bedroom is also provided with en-suite bath; ideal for guests or elderly family members. On the lower level, there is a large family room with a fireplace and kitchenette, three guest bedrooms and two full baths. In addition, there is a workshop and storage area and a large, partially finished, bonus room with laundry hookups that can be used as a game room, fitness center or home theater. A half-bath in the shop area is very convenient for boating, swimming, and gardening and the double-door entry easily accommodates golf cart storage. Also, there are wash basins in the garage, laundry room and shop area and four outside hose bibs. Extensive use has been made of imported travertine tiles, rounded edges to outside corners, pot shelves, and alcoves; all providing additional points of interest. An additional advantage to living in South Carolina is favorable taxation; our property taxes are less than $4,000 per year. We also own a full amenity lot in the gated, golf tennis, and pickle-ball community of Keowee Key which may be purchased if desired. Designed for enjoying the gorgeous views of Lake Keowee, this stone and wood home features a flagstone walkway leading to the covered porch through glass doors that frame Lake Keowee, one of the loveliest freshwater lakes in the Eastern United States. Imagine living in this home with its beamed, cathedral ceiling showcasing Lake Keowee. The wood floors, large rooms, high ceilings, all exude a casual elegance. Designed for entertaining and gathering of family and old and new friends.
