    What's special

One of the first live/work spaces built in the City in a historic 100+ year old building in what was known as GREEK TOWN. The Dakota Lofts were a pipe manufacturing building and were constructed as if the zombie apocalypse were about to happen-SOLID! Then the building was the Salt Lake Stamp Company where folks went for decades to get their rubber stamps made. Then in 1998 some wise forward thinking developers and investors got together and began converting old warehouses downtown into urban lofts. The Warehouse (across the street), the Broadway Lofts and the Dakota were all the first conversions in downtown and their timeless design and popularity appears pass through the ages as a standard for downtown living. Built along a TRAX line/station with a Green Bike rental outside, this two level loft was one of the first 'live work' spaces available back then with the idea you'd have an office/retail/design studio of sorts on the main floor and live on the second floor. This unit does not face noisy 400 West but is inside the locked pedestrian gate. Really groovy design that takes in the bare brick and concrete that was first put there a century ago but with a wonderful open kitchen and living space. RENTER IN UNIT NEEDS 24 HOUR NOTICE.
