In the last year and a half, I have TOTALLY redone this house. Inside and out, it is completely new. All stainless steel kitchen, new light fixtures, ceiling fans, granite & marble countertops in kitchen & bathroom, new paint inside & outside, saltillo and talavera tile on the front & back patios, a small herb garden, landscaping in the back yard, new A/C unit, security system with motion detectors, and now...a new roof! If you had seen this house before, you wouldn't recognize it now. I even knocked out a wall in the kitchen for a better view of Biscayne Bay out the back. Neighborhood Description I don't have kids so I don't know about the schools, sorry! The neighborhood itself is very diverse; whites, latinos, blacks, gays, straight people...we all get along. There are probably more singles and couples w/o kids than families, although the area is certainly family-friendly. From the house, you can walk to Biscayne Bay (2 min), the Design District (5 min), Target & the shops at Midtown (8 min), Publix/CVS (10 min)...it's really convenient! After all the work I've done remodeling the place, and considering all the great new shops that have come into the area, I'm bummed to think of putting the house on the market, but I would really like to buy a single family home with a large yard, so let's see if I get any offers...
