    What's special

Sunny and spacious top-floor apartment on Wrightwood: 2 beds, 1 bath, large living room, dining/bonus room, and private deck. 1,100 sqft. April 1 move in. Earlier move-in is available, if deisred. Option to finish a sublet until May 31, or sign an initial 12-month lease. $1450/month + $400 move in fee. No security deposit. $30/person application fee. Gas, electric, and internet/TV paid by tenant. Central heat. Window unit A/C and attic fan (landlords will install units once bought, we have one window unit and one movable unit we will happily sell to you and leave here). In-building laundry. Private/locked basement storage provided. Bike rack in the basement. Cat friendly, no dogs. -- The apartment is a beautiful space to live in and we have loved being here the past two years. We just moved, rather quickly out-of-state, or else we would happily continue to live here. The front room faces Wrightwood (to the north) and is a generous living room with a nook that overlooks the street and sits in the tree canopy. It's beautiful being in the leaves during the fall and spring and brings great shade in the summer. The front room also features an old fireplace and mantle built-in. There is a main hallway that the two bedrooms, the bathroom, and a closet are off of, with the dining/bonus room and kitchen at the end. The bonus room gets great sun in the afternoon and has been very useful as a multi-purpose space over the past year, being at home more and working from home. The kitchen is also very spacious and leads out onto the deck, which is great for grilling and eating out on the deck during the warmer months. The deck faces south and has been ideal for growing herbs and cycling indoor plants out to get some sun as needed. The building has 6 units. This is the top unit on the west side. All of our neighbors are perfectly easy to live alongside, and we really enjoyed hanging out with several of them on the decks on nice days, albeit at a bit less capacity this past year. The building is managed by a family-owned management company just north in Skokie. They are also easy enough to get along with and responsive. The location is a bit of a hidden gem in our opinion, and shared by our neighbors. It is a 15 minute walk to the Logan Square CTA blue line station -- 10 if you're really on it and 20 if you are enjoying yourself. The station is at the square, which is the hub of Logan Square. It connects to the boulevard system connecting to Palmer Square and Humboldt Park, which is great for runners. The square and nearby also hosts lots of neighborhood events, occasional concerts, block parties, art walks, and there is a weekly farmer's market there that kept up even this past summer since it was open air. From the square (to the east), to the apartment is just the charming blur of neighborhood from Logan Square into Hermosa Park. A block to the NW of the apartment is Kosciuszko Park, a Binny's just north of that, and a new Cermak supermarket west of that. The park has a track, tennis court, fenced futsal field, basketball courts, a playground, plenty of good shade trees, and a big open area that they were working on in the fall to fix the drainage. The Cermak is just wonderful, it has great produce, deli, butcher, baker, even a little cafe attached that makes great quick mexican-style lunches. And the Binny's has everything you'd need from a beverage standpoint. All in all, a great neighborhood spot in our opinion, and a place we really loved being. If you are interested, please reach out with any questions and a bit of general info about yourself. I will get in touch with a video walk-through for you to get a better sense of the place. Thanks for your interest Renter responsible for gas, electric, & internet/cable (total monthly avg. $200-$300/month). Garage parking available for an additional monthly fee (discuss with landlord if interested). Current lease ends May 31, can sign longer lease initially, if so inclined.
